I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
